At the beginning of this month I really really liked my doctor. I was finally getting towards the end of pregnancy and of course getting a little nervous about driving down the mountain in labor, more probably from Chris's driving me while in labor than the actual labor. I brought up my concerns with the doctor and he said that if I wanted he would be willing to induce me anytime after Aug 28. I was so thrilled. The end was in site, plus it worked out really well for Chris's schedule. We even had Scott, Linda, and April buy plane tickets so they could be here.
Well as we are learning there is no planning with babies. At my last appointment my doctor became the furthest thing from my best friend. He changed his mind. The baby is still really high, I haven't started dilating and more than likely she's not coming any time soon. I have an appointment on the 28 but more than likely he'll just be sending me home to wait another week. I am so depressed. Yes I know it will be better for me and the baby the longer we wait but when you're planning on a final end date one more extra week seems like a million years.
So I'm taking things into my own hands. I started looking on the Internet for ways to induce my own labor and there are a ton. I've started walking lots, which is extremely hard because my feet are huge. I've been eating spicy food, not really the best idea because it gives me heartburn. I haven't gotten quite desperate enough to drink caster oil though, the side effects of that one scares me a little bit. If anybody has any other suggestions of things I can try just let me know!

No naps this year
Archery season is here! Of course to Chris that doesn't mean much. Archery season lasts all year at our house, from scouting, shooting and tuning his bow, fletching arrows, reading magazines, and on and on and on. In fact I finally had to switch over to using a bow because I wanted to spend time with him, which is okay because I do like archery better. Usually Chris ends up taking a bunch of time off work during the season to do nothing but hunt. Although the picture is proof he doesn't just hunt, he also says he takes his best naps in the woods. Well this year is a little different. Since the baby is due in 12 days he has to take time off to become a dad instead of hunt. So opening day he found himself sitting in a drift boat instead of a tree stand. I doubt he ever thought he would find something more important than hunting but it happpend. I just wanted to post and tell Chris how thankful I am for all of the help he's been to me. I really appreciate the fact that he was willing to give up his best naps and everything he's worked for all year. Although he's not completely giving it up, Huntley does own camo to come home from the hospital in, you never know if we'll see something on the side of the road!

My first post!
Finally we are joining the blogging world! Ever since I found out we were having a baby I've wanted to create a blog to share all about the exciting things happening in our life. Well pregnancy was far from exciting and I've pretty much spent the past 36 weeks doing nothing but hanging out on the couch. Now you're probably thinking how hard is it to create a blog from the couch, but obviously for me it was hard and took forever but I finally have started. So for my first post I had to share this nice picture of me looking large wiht the one and only shed I found this year. Yesterday Chris and I went for a hike, more of a short stroll through the sage brush, and I found this. I was pretty excited since I was still dealing with morning sickness while Chris was spending time finding horns. Luckily we only have a few more weeks and pregnancy will be over and we can start doing family things, hooray!
