California Adventures: 2nd Edition
Life is treating us good here in California.
We tried the beach again. The picture below shows how close we got to the water.
So Chris and I spent a little one on one time with our favorite big girl and eventually convinced her that the water is not scary.
We also found out that we must have been good this year. Santa sure found us and made some little girls really happy.

California Adventures: 1st Edition
Last night we went and looked at Christmas lights. It was really unusual. Typically when we look at Christmas lights we drive around in the car with the heater on high and the seat warmers on looking at lights glowing in the snow. This year we put on a light jacket and walked around the streets.
Weird but quite enjoyable.
Afterwards I had a nice cup of chocolate, not to warm up my insides but just to keep with tradition.
Hunt was even excited to see her favorite Dora and Diego join the festivites but to obsessesed with all the other lights to take a picture with them.
Side note: Nini only has one episode of Dora on her "on demand" and we've all seen Dora's Christmas Adventure 198308092 times. No joke. At least that dang Swiper finally learns to stop swiping.
We saw lots.
The down side of seeing lots of whales was finding out Hunt is TERRIFIED of the ocean and screamed that it was going to get her the whole time.
That sure puts a damper on our plans for the rest of the trip.

Family....its about time!
At least it's about time Paisley met her family. We are spending the holidays with chris's family this year and it has been over two years since we've been home. Huntley was practically a baby last time we visited and is having a great time showing baby Pais off.

Huntelina ballerina
Tonight was Huntleys dance recital. She almost missed her debut as a ballerina due to a last minute potty break but overall she did pretty good up on the big stage. All those hours of practicing while watching Angelina ballerina paid off.

Rudolph
The other day we decided to venture out to Thanksgiving Point since we heard Rudolph and his mommy were living out there until Christmas. We went during the day, when it was sunny and warm but apparently Rudolph sleeps all day long and is only available to be seen when it's dark. This made for one mad little girl who insisted that it was light and Rudolph should wake up. Dad came to the rescue and made Huntley happy by taking her to shoot guns and feed fish at Cabelas.

Poor Paisley got stuck sitting in her seat and couldn't participate. You can tell she wasn't thrilled about that.

Happy
My girlies were extra happy yesterday morning. According to Huntley the snow "woked us up to play it". Poor kid was pretty disappointed when the snow melted before she got to go outside.

Gift Giving
Yesterday Huntley and I went shopping for a present for chris. She was so excited to buy a present for daddy and picked out a fire truck. I was excited she actually gets the concept of giving and could learn more about everything that Christmas entails. The whole drive home we went over how the present was a surprise for daddy on Christmas morning. We snuck in the back door so we could take the truck downstairs and hide it. Unfortunately as I went down the stairs Hunt went running to find chris and I soon hear her say "Daddy we bought you a firetruck but it's a surprise for Christmas morning!". Maybe next year it will be a surprise.
We also had our ward Christmas party last night. The girls were in heaven. Hunt got to cut snowflakes and Paisley cuddled with dad. Mom didn't have to make dinner and dad only complained towards the end so we'll count it as a success.

Huntley Scissorhands
Huntley LOVES scissors and cutting. Actually love is an understatement. She could cut all day long and never get bored because she loves to cut paper. In fact the rule is we only cut paper and she is quick to tell you that. On the other hand she likes to cut everything in site when I'm not paying attention. She cuts her clothes, blankets, an entire package of wipes, the handles of her purse, the sheets on my bed, library books, etc, etc, etc. Of course she has even cut her hair but lucky for me she likes to see what she cuts and actually did a pretty good job giving herself layers.
Now you are saying to yourself why don't you just hide the scissors? Well I do. In fact I hide them so good I can't ever find them but somehow Huntley does and I start finding random things cut all over the house. Then the little goober pulls my own trick and hides the scissors so she can go on another cutting spree when I least expect it. At least I assume she does because there is no way I was sleep deprived enough to hide scissors in my Uggs.

New job
I got a new job!!! I am now an official stay at home mommy. Yeah I'll still be doing a little work from home but no more of the 8 to 5 thing. Yesterday was my first day on the job and it was quite the day. We ate chocolate chip pancakes, did some tummy time, made playdough, and started boxing everything up to move into our almost finished basement. Best job ever!

Georgie Porgy Pudding and Pie
Describes our Thanksgiving, my oh my. Well actually I don't really know what porgy means but I figure it rhymes with gorge and our thanksgiving consisted of going to St George where we gorged ourselves on lots of pie. Besides that we did lots of other fun things as well.
My parents rented a condo for us to stay in and it was quite the place. Ive never seen so many dead animals in one place as there was in that condo. That's saying something considering who I'm married too. Huntley was scared to death of them and would walk around repeating to herself "animals dead".
The one animal that was not anywhere to be seen was a raccoon. We found out the owner must have felt bad for the critters when I went out to check out the hot tub the first night and one practically crawled up my leg. Chris then spent the rest of the trip feeding them by hand.
We had a great time enjoying the warm weather and relaxing. The only reason we were able to force ourselves to leave was knowing we only had a few weeks before we get to head out again.
