Out like a lion

March has been kind of a pathetic little month for our little blog. Although I can't understand why because it was full of all sorts of fun and excitement. So now instead of a whole bunch of wonderful picture filled posts I get to write random thoughts so this month will not be lost in some unknown part of my brain.

Accomplishments:

  • Huntley learning how to pick up a "puff," place said "puff" in mounth, chew and swallow "puff," all without having to administer the heimlich maneuver
  • Jess successfully administering heimlich maneuver twice
  • Chris successfully administering heimlich maneuver once
  • Huntley learning how to dance and giving a sign when she wants to do so (i.e. turning into a human bobblehead)
  • Jess reaching a milestone of being a quarter of a century
  • Chris passing his EMT class and hopefully state tests this week
  • Jess and Chris surviving four years of wedded bliss

Complaints:

  1. Being too rolly polly which makes staying in a sitting position extremely difficult (Huntley)
  2. Mother Nature for being mean and giving us a wonderful week full of warmth and sun only to chase it away with wind and snow (Jess)
  3. Jess for making me go to stake conference all the way in Vernal when there are sheds to be found (Chris)

Blessings from the complaints: (it is Sunday)

  1. I am a healthy baby
  2. Hopefully we will not have a drought
  3. Not having to feel guilty when the sacrament talks the following week were on keeping the Sabbath Day holy

So there is our memories of March, hopefully April will go a little better!

Hello Sunshine!!!

The weather is finally starting to get nice enough we can start enjoying the great outdoors. One of the best baby shower gifts I recieved was this really neato backpack from my Aunts. It's been sitting in Huntely's room taunting us to come and play. So we've all been doing our part to try it out. Huntley has been eating like a little piglet in order to get big enough and Chris & I have been praying for the wind to stop blowing so we can get outside. Today was the day all of our hopes and dreams came true. The weather was warm, the sky was clear, and there was no wind. So of course Chris got off work early and we went and spent an hour walking through sagebrush. I sure love the smell of sagebrush in the spring!

Please Help?

Huntley has many soft toys that she likes to play with. On all of these toys they say in order to clean them wipe down with a damp rag. Which I do, but then I think about all of the places her toys have been and the floors they have been on and wiping down with a damp cloth just doesn't seem like that will cut it to me. (Most of the time when playing with toys they are in her mouth.) So as I was cleaning the kitchen yesterday and spraying down the garbage container with lysol I figured hey I'll just spray her toys too. After I did it I then questioned if that was really a great idea because will she end up sucking the lysol off of the toys. Today I decided I would put them in the washing machine anyways. I just pulled them out and they still smell like lysol. Now I've been searching the internet to know if lysol is going to poison her or not. They lysol site, although very informative about babies and germs, has nothing on the matter and doesn't even have a search feature to look for it specifically. The can only talks about it being hazardous to the eyes. Now to the question, Does anybody know if it is okay for her to play with her lysol sprayed, run through the washing machine twice toys or am I going to have to go by some new loveys?

I love vacations!!!

Last week we took advantage of some really great off season deals and took off to Jackson Hole for a few days. Although now I'm drowning in laundry and housework, it was definitley worth it. We had a lot of fun so I thought I would just post each of our favorite things about the trip.
Huntley loved the king size bed. She layed there and played for hours and loved the fact she could roll all over. Being stuck in her car seat all morning while driving there also probably made the bed even better.

Chris's favorite part was that we found big foot. For all who don't know Chris has a slight obsession with the mythical creature, he even has his own big foot call he uses to try and lure the guy in. You know all of those wierd shows on the discovery channel about Sasquatch, yes we have them all recorded. Imagine our suprise when we found him hanging out in Jackson.Last but not least, my favorite part was the chance to take a break away from everyday life and spend time with my family. I love these two!!!
