Must love Fish

Chris and I decided it was about time Huntley saw her first fish. Since the salmon run is going on near our house we decided it was the perfect opportunity. We loaded her up in the truck and drove to Sheep Creek. Well as soon as we got there Huntley started to cry. We tried showing her the fish and she just screamed. So I ended up feeding her in the truck while Chris enjoyed the fish. Of course she cried because she was hungry, but I'm still worried that she might be telling us she doesn't like fish. Hopefully that is not the case because with a fishing guide for a dad she has no choice. I guess we'll just have to try it again when we are sure that her belly is full.

On our own

After 11 days of being a mom, I now finally have to officially be a mom. Ever since Huntley was born my mom or mother in law was here and I haven't really had to do much. They took care of everything and all I did was sleep and feed Huntley. She has been a perfect baby who does nothing but sleep and eat so I thought no big deal when they left. Boy was I wrong. Last night Huntley decided she was missing out on life and has pretty much been awake since. I can't blame her because after being in the dark for nine months I would want to see the world too, but she could have decided to do this a little earlier when her grandmas were here to play with her. Luckily she is happy with sitting in her bouncy chair so I'm getting a lot done but what I really want to do is sleep. I don't dare sleep while she is awake, not that she could do anything but I still don't dare. At least I only have 5 more hours until Chris gets home from work.

Bringing home Huntley

When we found out Huntley was going to be born during archery season Chris immediately wanted her to have camo just in case we saw anything on the drive home. I found this outfit online and knew she just had to have it. After we dressed her up in it everyone at the hospital thought she was a boy but I still think she looked adorable in it. Unfortunately we didn't see anything on the drive so she didn't get to try it out. Probably a good thing because we were all so tired, now we just get to catch up on sleep and enjoy being with Huntley.

Meet Huntley

We are so excited to introduce our new little arrival, Huntley Madison Harvey. She was born at 12:06 am on September 3, weighed 6 lbs 9 oz, and is 18 inches long. It's only been 3 days and we already can't imagine our family with out her. We are so blessed!
