Fears

Chris and I share one of the same fears, amusement parks. We hate them, they scare us. Creepy guys trying to get you to play rigged games, any kind of food you can imagine deep fried, and last but not least ROLLERCOASTERS!!! They scare the crap out of us. Well Chris says they don't scare him but just make him sick. Me on the other hand, I'm just a wimp. It was a sad day when I no longer could ride the green dragon at Lagoon and was expected to ride "fun" rides.

When Huntley was born our families both felt bad for her and started making plans of who and when she would be taken to have some thrills in her life. Unfortunately for all of them and lucky for us, she has inherited our fears. We hiked the "G" last week and it was a traumatic experience for her. The trail is a little on the steep side and being perched in a backpack must exaggerate the effect. She cried the COMPLETE 30 minutes it took to hike up and down. There will definitley be no Lagoon for us.

Just to make sure it really was the steepness and not an aversion to hiking (which would be a tragedy to us!) we spent Saturday roaming around Mahogany looking for sheds. She was as happy as could be and enjoyed pointing out the deer that say "woof" and elk that say "moo." Maybe we should practice our animal sounds some more.

Huntley might be afraid of hights but she sure can keep up with Russell. We love our little Huntley.

Hey Jessica,

We sure miss you guys out here. I am happy to see that you are all doing well! Huntley sure has grown a lot and look at her hair. My problem with Anna is that she is growing so fast I just wish her hair would as well. Sadly Jayden decided to help us cut it for her so now it is just sad!!
