This blog post gets to be a two-for-one kind of deal. Last week Chris and I went away for the weekend (thanks mom!!!) and then the week got away from me and I never posted. Which now looking back on the last two weeks I did a really crappy job of taking pictures so this isn't going to be too big.
We started Monday off making edible silly putty.
This picture just made me laugh. Our dog is nuts.
Wednesday I pretty much rocked. I made bread, jam, jerky, protein bars, and ranch. The neighbor kids think I'm amazing and I'm totally letting them believe that it's a normal occurrence at our house. Reality is most of the time we eat pancakes for dinner because I never have my crap together.
Chris spent the week in Michigan for work training and Friday I had to leave for the Bozeman gun show. Neither of us ever have to travel for work so it was pretty crazy when we both ended up having to leave at the same time. Luckily my parents were able to come up and stay with the kids and then Chris just joined me for the rest of the weekend when he got back to Montana.
I spent Friday turning a mess of gun cases into the best looking table at the gun show. I then spent the rest of the weekend being told by old men how good looking I was. It was great for my self esteem.
Since my parents were with the kids we also took advantage of not having the kids and went on our anniversary date a week early. I wanted to go on one of Chris's adventures and told him not to go easy on me.
He didn't.
Proof I actually made it up that beast of a hill.
The view was worth it.
Both of them :)
After making it up the hill we trecked around all over the mountain and Chris found one tiny little deer shed. All I got was a couple ticks, ugh.
And then we had to climb back down the hill. The entire afternoon I was pretty proud of myself that I never slowed Chris down and could keep up with him just fine. But coming down that stinking hill was awful. He probably could have gotten to the bottom and taken a nap in the time it took me but he was nice and went slow with me. True love I tell ya.
Monday I turned 33. Had to mark that occasion with a duck face selfie with my biggest baby.
I had to work at Shedhorn and the fire department that day but Chris and the kids were nice enough to make me dinner and decorate my cake.
The rest of the week must have just flown by because I don't have any pictures until Friday morning when the girls tried to see if they actually caught a leprechaun. They didn't but they did catch his Lucky Charms.
Saturday was our actual anniversary. Chris spent it in the woods alone.
And the kids and I painted ice cubes. Busy Toddler saves my life. Chris and I did celebrate by eating a tub of ice cream together after the kids were in bed.
Tonight we went to a retirement party for one of my coworkers. Tucker gave Mav his first twinkie and the girls spent the entire time going for rides with Tony in his ranger. Spoiled kiddos.
