2016~26&27

Two weeks to do here.  And not only do I have two weeks but the pictures uploaded out of whack so it's going to be all over the place.  At least it's getting done.
Fourth of July was fun and later on pictures of that will show up but we ended the night by watching the fireworks in VC and cheering really loud when they lit the hill on fire.  That was way more entertaining then the fireworks.
Today the girls and I went to a baby shower and Pais dressed up all pretty.  Mav stayed home with Chris and gave lots of love to Maze.
Saturday the boys were really nice about helping me do the laundry.
Chris had to work Saturday morning so I took the kids up to the Jack Creek Preserve for a wildflower hike.
We were the only ones under age 65 and I was glad Chris had to work so I didn't get dirty "I can't believe I'm wasting a Saturday on this" looks.
We still had fun and the girls can now identify a few different types of weeds and which ones are bad and should be pulled.

Mav started the hike out in the pack but got annoyed by all the stops so I ended up letting him walk.  He then spent the time leading the group and yelling at us all to hurry up.
This is actually an after picture I'll refer you back to later.
Friday we went to Bozeman to drop off the pathfinder and went to the splash pad.  It was kind of cold that day so all of the kids started out by hanging on the fence.

 Cute, goofy kids.
Rapunzel let down her hair and we chopped it all off.  Refer to the picture above.  She loves having it short and I love gaining back an hour of my life everyday not having to brush and braid it.
Mav figured out how to crawl under the fence of the pasture and thought he was pretty dang funny stomping in all of the poop.
We said bon voyage to the pathfinder and couldn't be happier.  Good bye stinky mouse car.  Bring on a year of driving the "fancy" Honda.  Which when faced with actually having to drive around in it the kids no longer think it's cool and don't want to be seen it.
I love being able to go for walks at night during the summer.
And back to the 4th of July.
Or the Saturday before when we tried to escape the heat and went and sat in the river.

Pais stole my phone one night and took this picture of Mav.
Sugar High gave out icecream cones on the 4th.

Back to Saturday at the river.

Library day on Friday was all about bike maintenance but I'm a lame mom who forgot to read the memo and actually bring our bikes.  Instead we watched Mav run up and down the wheelchair ramp and came home and practiced what we learned.
The girls also cooled off from the heat in the cow trough.
One morning these two came and crawled into bed with me.  I couldn't believe how much they looked like twins and had to take a picture but Hunt's dang hair got in the way.
And the picture that should have stated out our two weeks, Mer, Hunt, and I went on a late night Costco run where we got to use the orange cart.

2016~25

And we're off to another week.  Monday night we started things off with a nice little ride.
Mav wasn't so sure about Hanky boy this time around.
Tuesday Chris went to the 3D archery range and we stayed home and had a pool/smore party.

I've switched my workouts to 5:30 in the morning and still can't get them done without someone climbing all over me.
Wednesday night Merra and I went to the school fundraiser car raffle where out of 314 people we made it all the way down to number 5 before we were called out.  I'm still extremely bummed about it.  Chris and the kids stayed home and played in the pool
Wednesday we spent some time over at the ranch doing gopher extermination.  Mav got to ride on the fourwheeler with Chris and loved it.
Friday the kids and I went to story time at the library.  They had a miniature golf course set up out of books and it was pretty awesome.  Unless you spent the whole time chasing around your wanna be king kong crazy child.
We stole one of the cow trough's for the ranch and got it set up on Saturday.  We also had plans to go on an awesome hike as a family until a few select members got better offers :)
The ones remaining home drowned their sorrows in ice cream.
And coloring books.  (No wonder we don't get play date invites)
 And made cupcakes.
 And swam in the pool.

As for the other two, Chris spent the day fishing on the river.  Lucky duck.
Hunt spent the day in Bozeman going to the movies, pizza, and a shopping spree at the dollar store.
At least she was cute enough to leave me a note.  I love that little girl.

2016~24

Monday night Pais wanted (more like demanded) to go for a ride on Rookie.

The other two were more interested in climbing all over our neighbor, Cindi's razor and took off down the road with her.

Wednesday night we went to the branch bbq.  It rained and was cold and Ta'merra said it reminded her of a Davis family Christmas party.  No wonder I've always felt so at home here.
Thursday night the kids and I went to the health fair at the hospital.  They got bike helmets and rode in a bike rodeo.

What's a bike rodeo? You ride your bike around a bunch of cones and cross your fingers you don't run in to other people.

Mav entertained himself by petting fake cows.
Chris and Merra skipped out on this activity.  One social event a week is enough for them but when I texted them a picture of the bbq at this one they regretted that decision.
Friday Merra took the kids to the library and they made kites.  Good thing we had 20 plus mile per hour winds that night to try them out in.
Chris set up his "tent" he bought a couple years back and has never used.  I personally laugh at the thought of him in the woods sleeping in this thing.

Mav spent the weekend only half clothed.
Today we celebrated father's day but more importantly for the first time ever I cooked steak and it wasn't burnt and actually tasted good.  I guess being a Montanan is actually rubbing off on me.
