2013 Thankful {day 26}

This post is what Chris would say he was thankful for if he actually blogged, his zombie kit.

My brother in law gave us our Christmas present early and it was a set of gerber knives, large knives, and he called it a zombie kit.  I thought it was cool when he gave it to me but he should have waited and gave it to Chris.  I've never seen a bigger smile on his face and he then spent the entire week cutting up anything and everything he could think of.  He kept saying it was the best present he ever got and was pretty upset he had to leave it home and couldn't take it on the plane back to North Dakota with him.  From now on I'm not trying to come up with wonderful thoughtful gifts but just calling Rob.

2013 Thankful {all the days I missed while having fun with Chris}

Yes I majorly slacked off on the whole thankful thing but when we were having constant fun all last week I didn't want to take time to blog.  I'm thankful our family was complete and so was Hunt after drawing this pic and saying she likes it when dad is home.

 I'm thankful for the chance to spend some time in the mountains, more like plains, but still it was outside.  Antelope hunting was a little tricky with two little loud girls and a bunch of skittish animals but Chris got the job done.

 I'm thankful for hotels.  Staying in a hotel is my girls favorite thing ever.  Unfortunately the pool was shut down for the winter so we had to make do with jumping on the bed for entertainment.

 I'm thankful for Christmas trees!  After last years fiasco we made sure to get a tag extra early this year and for the first time in Harvey family history we cut a non-beastly tree.  It's only about five feet tall and doesn't take up much room at all.  I love it!

 I'm thankful for how hilarious Hunt is.  After Chris shot his antelope Huntley went and looked at it and said "Good job shooting this dad, when can we eat it?"  She doesn't take after me at all in that fact.  It takes me awhile to be able to eat something that we harvested but not Hunt.  She had no problem eating it and she ate a ton.

 I'm thankful I'm finally getting back to normal.  Saturday I went for my first hike in five months.  I only lasted about 15 minutes packing Pais and Hunt out hiked me but it felt so good to be getting out doing one of my favorite things.

 I'm thankful for my two little nuggets and the funny things they do every day. 

 Last but not least I'm thankful the horsey puzzle is done!  Hunt found a 300 piece puzzle at my mom's a few weeks ago and has been determined to do it. We set it up in the living room and every time we go over there we have to spend a few minutes working on it.  Last night we finally finished it, hooray!

2013 Thankful {day 19}

I'm thankful that Chris is such an amazing dad.  For the past two weeks Hunt has told me her and dad were going on a date to the buffalo place and I had to stay home. Today was finally the day and I was okay with having some time to myself but at the last minute she changed her mind and I got to come be the third wheel on the daddy daughter date.  We went to Scheels and had fun taking silly pictures and riding the Ferris wheel.  After we went to the obsessed about Buffalo place (why she is in love with Buffalo Wild Wings is beyond me) and had dinner.  We even got dessert which Hunt pretty much single handedly devoured.  I loved being the third wheel and watching Chris in action as an awesome dad.  He spoils his girls and I am so thankful for the amazing relationship they have.  

2013 Thankful {day 18}

I'm thankful for the park and wait lot at the airport.  Chris's flight was delayed and instead of having to sit in the airport and wait we can just stay in the car. Since both the girls passed out on the drive I get to enjoy some quiet time.  

2013 Thankful {day 17}

I'm thankful Chris gets to come home.  Two weeks went by really fast but really slow at the same time.  I'm so glad we get to see Chris tomorrow.

2013 Thankful {day 16)

I'm thankful for my morning laugh.  I let the girls pick out their own clothes and Hunt is pretty extreme when it comes to her fashion sense.  Sometimes it's a little embarrassing but I figure she has to have something she's in control of so I deal with it.  Now that Pais is getting older she's taking after her sister's footsteps and comes up with some pretty crazy outfit choices too.  I think the two of them are in a competition to see who can look stranger but it least it makes for a fun way to start the morning.

2013 Thankful {day 15}

I'm thankful for lazy Friday nights.  Both girls have caught a nasty bug that makes Paisley far from enjoyable.  Luckily tonight was pretty laid back and we had pj's on by 7 and were cuddled up on the couch with a movie.  Paisley only made it five minutes before crashing in my lap and hopefully a good night sleep will lead to a much more happy Pais tomorrow.
