2018-10

Mav and I spent Friday building the tent of all tents.  We were having a great time eating popcorn and watching movies in it when Ginnie called with the great news, goat babies!!!
We ran over to her house and were able to watch Loxi have one of her babies.
Meet little Fresia.  Goat babies are the cutest.
Friday morning Chris, Mav, and I went down to the RO dealership and checked out drift boats.
Mav can't wait to have his own boat to "drive."
Afterwards they dropped me off at the gun show were I increased my gun show sales by 50 percent.  I sold two.
Saturday night Chris and the kids went home and I found myself alone in a hotel room.  My initial thought was it was amazing but then I decided it was too quiet and ended up borrowing a dog for the night.  I'm slightly ridiculous.

2018-9

The girls and I started off the week with killing some time at the bistro eating brownies and cheese bread.
Afterwards we went to the beauty salon to get Paisley's haircut.
So, so long.  Kallie was really nice and gave Pais her requested three braids.
 Mav being Mav
Friday I covered the daycare for Rachael.  Mav is not a big fan of sharing his mother.
I had the genius idea of making breadsticks which entertained the kids forever.  It was awesome.
Saturday after swim lessons we went to Costco with everyone else in Gallatin county.  It was crazy.
When we got home we had the fun filled job of making sausage.  Luckily our hired help was extremely helpful.

2018-8

And I got behind again.  Surprise. Surprise. But I refuse to give up. Even if my pictures uploaded all weird. I can deal.
Sunday Church was canceled due to sub zero temperatures.
Which led to poor Gigi getting a bath.
Maze reveled in the one on one attention from the Mav since gigi was a giant wet mess.
 Family Home Evening treats.
The view of the frozen tundra.
Huntley built a tower taller than herself.
I told her that was lame and it needed to be taller than Chris.  She was all for that.
 Cuddles with Gigi.
Mav and I went and did princess puzzles at the library.
And I was lucky enough to watch the movie of his choice when we got home.
Saturday we went shopping for new church clothes for chris. Luckily three dimensional mirrors kept the kids entertained.
And then we really blew their minds when we found the model train display in the middle of the mall.
Mav is killing it in the bubble blowing section of swimming lessons.
And is pretty good at kicking too.

2018-7

Monday was back to reality for us.
The girls had to get all of their bath bomb valentines ready. I'm so glad we made those before we left.
Tuesday Pais got to hang out with me at the fire department.
Wednesday we had a Valentines dinner at the church.
Thursday Mav had his 3 year old check up.  Afterwards he got his turn as mom's work partner.  He requested snacks every five minutes.
Friday the kids didn't have school.  Cooper and Lily came over and made bird houses with us.  Lily called Mav "Margaret" the entire time and it was hilarious.
Saturday the kids started swim lessons.
They loved it but were pretty dang mad that they didn't get to spend more time in the pool.

2018-6

Sunday in California was spent with all of the family watching the superbowl.  I'm bummed I didn't take any pictures but the kids had such a great time playing cards and catch and getting lots of attention from all of their aunts and uncles.
Monday we spent the day at the beach.
I'm thinking a beach vacation is going to be a must half way through winter from now on.
Nini bought the kids a sand box kit from CVS and they could have stayed playing in the sand the entire day.
Mav was afraid of the water but having dirt and a truck made for the perfect day for him.

Tuesday we went down to explore cannery row.
 Run, Forest, Run.
We had a great time at the aquarium.
Mav loved exploring all of the touch pools and could have stayed there for hours.
 Mandatory picture in the shell.
And our favorite part of the aquarium.
The entire day we kept trying to get a picture of Maverick and Colten together, but this is the best we got.

Mav picked out a squid hat too but was over it after a few minutes.  Chris then wore it the entire time we were at the aquarium.  They both rocked it.
And after we had to get one last hour at the beach.
 I have no words.
Taking these two to the grocery store is always a challenge.
Wednesday we left the sand behind for snow.  Not much snow but I'm now a big fan of skiing in warm weather.
The kids were obsessed with the huge pine cones we found all over Tahoe.  Pais hid hers and after our second day skiing found it and we brought it home.
Little kids in ski gear might possible be the cutest thing ever.
And this pretty much sums up Mav's experience at Diamond peak.
Pais on the other hand couldn't wait to ski and nothing scared her.
She fell once or twice and then took off like she'd been skiing all her life.
Pretty soon she was teaching me how to ski.
And since she was doing so good Chris dragged me off the bunny hill.  I cried.
And now for a whole bunch of selfies on chair lifts.

That night Mav got wild and had shots of chocolate milk.
Friday was round two of skiing.
Mav and Nini had a great time at the park.
The views at Diamond Peak were so awesome.
And that pretty much sums up my pictures of day two.  These three left me for bigger and better things and I hung out making friends with other people who equally lacked my skill at skiing.
Saturday was a take it easy day before we had to make the long trek home.
We played at a really cool park on the beach of Lake Tahoe.
Pais was pretty mad about not being able to swim.

Afterwards we introduced our kids to the bright and shiny world of casinos.  They seriously loved walking though them.  Shiny lights and the smell of cinnabon, every kids dream.
We spent way too much time playing this candy game in the arcade.  The kids were obsessed and it wouldn't stop going even though we only put in one token.
The other highlight of the casino, escalators.
Proof we really are insane and drove 16 hours.
