Thankful: day 10

I'm thankful for a body that is healthy and can do many things. When Chris was taking an anatomy class he would try and tell me all about how amazing the human body is and how things work. I agree whole heartedly but all you have to do is say the word vein and I get the heebie geebies and want to immediately end the conversation. Lets just say I'm happy I have a healthy body and that the rest of my family does too. Healthy little girls in tutus are the cutest thing ever.

Thankful: day 9

I'm thankful for sleep. Right now sleep is a precious commodity and I'm grateful for every little minute I can get. The occasional nights I get four hours in a row leave me waking up feeling amazing. Someday I'll get to sleep through the night again. I'm also glad i don't have any problems sleeping. Chris has a hard time sleeping and we just spent 40 bucks on pills to see if it will help. I can't imagine not being able to sleep and having to function like you were living with a newborn all of the time. Plus if we both had that problem that would be 80 bucks a month and that is a lot of money! I'm also thankful when my babies sleep. They look like precious little angels when they are sleeping. It's a good reminder to me that they are children of god and I need to have more patience with them and be a better mother.

Thankful: day 8

I'm thankful for cell phones and all that they can do. It amazes me how fast the technology of cell phones has progressed. When I was younger my parents bought a van from my dad's work. We were cleaning it up right after we got it when we noticed this weird box phone looking thing under the drivers seat. My mom started to mess with it to figure out what it was and the thing started beeping. I seriously thought it was a bomb and we were all going to die. After she called my dad at work we found out it was a car phone. How cool is that?!?! I immediately started telling all of my friends we had a car phone and thinking I was so cool. Real cool considering the fact we never even used it but occasionally i would sit in the driveway pull it out, yes it had a long slinky looking cord attached to the box that was mounted under the seat, and pretend I was talking to someone on it. You never know who might see me and think how cool I was. If only my past self could see me now. Instead of having a super awesome car phone I have a sleek little cell phone. It's not attached to anything and at all times I can see what my hubby and Huntley are up too. Man, I have definitely reached cool status now.

Road Trip to Yogan

As you all know Chris's latest hobby is hound dogs. This hobby has turned our house into an online garage sale with dogs and supplies constantly coming and going. This last weekend he needed to go to Logan to pick up a new dog box. I haven't been to Logan since the day I moved out of my apartment and back home to get ready to marry Chris so I was really excited to go back and see what has changed in that little town where I spent two years of my life. Huntley was really excited to go as well, although for different reasons. When we got there we realized she thought we were going to visit her friend Logan and was upset when we told her we were in Logan and not going to Yogan's house. Luckily my favorite places in Logan are quite entertaining to a 3 year old. We first distracted Huntley by letting her play in the snow. She loved it which is good since she's going to be spending a lot of time with her daddy chasing dogs in the snow.
Next we stopped off at the Pepperedige Farm factory and stocked up on a lifetime supply of goldfish.

Goldfish make you thirsty so we headed over to Gossners and bought chocolate milk and cheese. Saturdays are definitley not a good day to go to Gossners. I miss going on Tuesday's where it was only my roomies and I and the nursing home bus. We'd gorge ourselves on cheese and dream of the day when we could live in the nursing home and go to Gossners, that would be the life.

Last but not least we stopped off at Smith and Edwards where we discovered Huntley is like her dad and wasn't to into the idea of using all the old army crap to take random photo's with. Fortunately Paisley is too little to say what she does and does not like so I had fun introducing her to one of my all time idols. If we ever have a boy John Wayne just might be fighting Wyatt Earp for naming rights.

Well now that you've read all this you can see my days in Logan revolved around food (no I didn't hit up Lee's for free samples) and we probably shouldn't have a boy because the poor kid will probably end up having issues with his name. Good times, good times.

Thankful: day 7

I am thankful for moms. I have the best mom and mother in law ever.

Even though I'm grown with a family of my own my mom still takes care of me. She babysits Huntley, feeds us lots of meals, is the brains behind everything I do for YW's, and never complains about giving me advice even when I call for simple things. I love that my mom is consistent and her answer is always going to be "did you pray about it?". A lot of the time I definitely need that reminder.

Linda lives far away but I still couldn't get through life without her. She e-mails me all day long which really helps work go by a lot faster. During the summer her constant phone calls helped me out a lot emotionally and gave me the strength to keep on pushing. She's also extremely lucky and the two times she visited this summer where the only weeks Chris wasn't on a fire. I'm glad she came not only because she takes care of everything while she is here but it was really nice to actually see Chris for longer than two days. Wildfires must know not to mess with a boy and his mommy!

Thankful: day 6

I'm thankful for my grandparents! I am extremely lucky and have been able to know all of grandparents and have had them all play an active role in my life. Not only do I have my biological grandparents but I'm also lucky enough to have a couple extra adopted grandparents too. I'm glad my girls have so many grandparents as well and love watching Huntley interact with them. She loves going to grandpa Phillips's every Sunday and helping him make popcorn. It makes me smile when we leave church and she immediately asks to see popcorn pa. She is one spoiled little girl when we go to their house but I'm glad she has that relationship with them and hope she can always remember Sunday afternoons at their house.

Thankful: day 5

I am so thankful for weekends! I can't imagine how how horrible life would be if we didn't have two days to get a break from the routine of the regular week. I love having a day where I can focus completely on things at home and not have to worry about work. Spending all day with my girls is wonderful and I can't wait for the time to come so I can spend everyday with them and just be their mommy.
