Here We Go Again

When Huntley was born she had a fair amount of hair and I was excited. I could picture all of the cute little bows and clips I would be putting in her hair and how adorable she would look.

Well six weeks came and went and I soon found myself with a bald child. I was bummed and had to resort to glueing bows on her head.

Well six months have flown by and the hair is starting to come back, or so I thought. This morning I was shocked when I woke up to POWER ALLIES!!! Am I ever going to get to do pretty hairdos?!?

Lola, I love you!

Things I did today:

-5 loads of laundry

-Scrubbed Bathroom

-Mopped Kitchen floor

-Weeded out Huntley's too small clothes

-Organized Chris's outdoor clothes

-Payed bills, went over budget

-Made 3 nutritional meals

-1 hour of cardio

-Split firewood

-Prepared sunbeam lesson

-Scrapbooked

-Finished Chris's search & rescue certification

-Spent quality time with Huntley

All of this was thanks to Lola!

The past week Huntley has been obsessed with this little thing. She can spend the whole day playing with it. If I put it across the room she rolls around until she can find her. If Huntley is cranky, I put her in her bed, give her Lola, and she is out in minutes. Chris is upset. Of all of the millions of toys Huntley has she had to pick a hot pink little poodle. He thinks it is embarrassing and tries to bribe her with different toys, no go all she wants is Lola. Personally I'm in love. The past 5 months I've felt less than human and would be lucky if I could finish one thing during the day. Not any more. Lola has come to my rescue and I love her!

Pink Nightmare

When I had a girl I realized that yes little girls wear pink. When you think of babies boys are blue and girls are pink. As I began receiving gifts 99.9% of all of the clothes Huntlely received were pink. Of course I even bought her lots of pink. Her room is pink, her clothes are pink, her toys are pink, everything is pink, pink, pink. None of this has really bothered me because I am responsible for buying her pink and dressing her in pink and anything else to do with pink.
Well the other day I started to feel bad. Since it was such a nice day, one benefit of living on a mountain is no inversions, we decided to take Huntley snowshoeing. I bundled her up in her pink snowsuit, pink gloves, and pink hat. As she was laying there on the floor bundled up so much that she couldn't move, she reminded me of Randy on the Christmas story, and in my mind I could hear her saying "Ralphie help me I can't get up!" At that point my mind then wandered on and I thought she even looks like Ralphie when he's dressed up in the pink bunny cosutme. Oh no, my child is a pink nightmare!!!

We continued on our outing and had a great time. Although when we got back and I was looking at the pictures I believe Huntleys face says "I am a pink nightmare." I feel horrible but since she has all of her clothes already bought for the next year and I'm too cheap to buy different ones the pink nightmare will continue.

Computers

Last night as I was waiting for Chris to come home I was definitley having computer issues. After Huntley went to bed I decided to try and edit some of Huntley's pics in photoshop. I don't know what I did but somehow I froze photoshop, had to restart it, and now I can't figure out how to make it print. So I moved on, checked my e-mail and saw the results were in for biggest loser. I was so excited to see how everyone did. I tried downloading the spreadsheet to find out that our office was expired. No problem I'll just install the full version, somehow I messed that up too and couldn't figure out what I did, so I'm still wondering how I did compared to everyone else. Last of all I decided I would update my blog. While I was doing that I also wanted to give it a face lift. Well now somehow I messed up my blog and of course I can't figure out that either. Chris finally got home asked how my day was and I told him all of these stories to which he replied by doing an impression of a psycho women ( I still insist I was not being crazy). So I got mad and went to bed hoping somehow everything would fix itself during the night. Of course it didn't so now I'm really wishing I lived closer to my dad and having a pity party for myself, anybody want to join?

Finally some Real Food!

Hello Everyone, it's Huntley and since I now can eat real food I might as well start blogging too.
As you can tell I was starving. If my mom doesn't hurry up with that food I'm going to eat my big. Check out my belly, I need a lot to keep it full.

Well my first bite I was kind of shocked. I've eaten water out of a spoon but never cereal, I'm not quite sure what I think about that.

I had to pull a lot of funny faces to make my mom and dad laugh but I ate the majority of the bowl.
In fact I liked it so much I decided I'd just feed myself.

Our lives lately

I am now filling pity for Chris during all those years I was taking classes at night. I didn't realize how lonely and boring nights were and I at least have Huntley to spend time with. Chris started his EMT class this week and now spends Tues, Thur, and Fri nights down in Vernal. It's only been the first week and I'm sick of it. I just keep telling myself that it's only three months and he might as well do it now while the county pays for it. Besides school he also finished up trapping season and now our house stinks link drying cats, note to self buy more candles on the next trip to town. Huntley had her four month check up this week. She is 25 inches long and weighs 15 lbs 9oz. She is also quite the little jabber box. She talks constantly, even in her sleep, and gets mad if you don't pay attention to her. I can imagine it's going to be pretty fun when she can actually say words. As for me I'm still trying to figure out life with a baby and gaining a deeper appreciation for my mom and mother in law everyday. I also started another blog to document all of Chris's adventures. I want to make sure Linda can always check our blog and not have to worry about seeing Chris with dead animals so if you want to check out the latest trapping pictures go here.

Top 10

Well Hello my poor neglected blog. I was so excited for December because I would be able to post often of all the exciting things that this month brings. What I really found out was December was way full of many things and I never found the time to post any of them. So after debating what I should do now I finally decided to do a top ten of the things that have happened in the past month, the good, the bad, and the ugly!

#1 Of course would have to be our happy baby has arrived. Huntley has been a pretty good baby but she did have her moments. She is definitley the princess and wanted to make sure we knew it. Luckily the past month her princess moments have become few and far between and for the most part she's now a happy little girl.

#2
Christmas!!! We had a great Christmas which we spent all on our very own. Christmas Eve we spent playing games and eating good food with friends. Huntley gave us the best gift on Christmas morning and slept in until 10 so Chris and I enjoyed a nice breakfast together. We then opened presents, Huntley could have cared less, and spent the rest of the day hanging out together. Top the whole day off with a bang at the end with 60 mph winds that I was convinced were going to take us to Oz.
#3
Joshy!!! My brother called on Christmas day from his mission in Puerto Rico, all though currently he is in Curaco. Even thought I wasn't home my parents were able to do a three way call so that I could talk to him too. It was so great to hear from him and learn how to speak Papiemento. He is the best brother in the whole world and I'm so excited for April 30!!!
#4
I cooked my very first turkey. Since we were on our own Christmas day that left the responsibility of cooking the big meal all up to me. I cooked a turkey and all of the other fixings and it actually tasted good. I even baked pumpkin pie, am I not amazing.

#5
Here is the bad and ugly edition of our top 10. The friday night after Christmas, Chris got a fire call and our friend Ben's house was on fire. Ben, Chris and all of the other firefighters spent the night trying to get it out but unfortunately were unable to save it. Not the most exciting day after Christmas but Chris really enjoyed himself trying to put it out, too bad it had to be Ben's house.

#6
My aunt Della Don went through the temple. All of my mom's brothers and sisters were there, my grandparents, my great Aunt & Uncle, and Kristi & Rob. I've never been to the temple with so many family members and it was such a great experience. I'm so thankful for temples and eternal families.
#7
Chris eating touching food, all though he is insisting this was not touching food. Chris has never eaten foods that have multiple ingredients. After the temple we went to dinner at La Carratta where Chris ordered a dish with rice, chicken, beef, shrimp, eggs, peas, and all sorts of vegetables. When the waiter brought it out Kristi and I just about died that Chris had actually ordered it and then we went into shock when Chris proceeded to eat it. Miracles do happen

#8

Russell!!! Can I just say how much I love this little boy. He is so adorable and we were able to spend time with him when we went down to the city. Chris was having a little too much fun and put one of Huntley's headbands on him.
#9
If Huntley could talk she would insist that her hands make the top ten. Lately she has become extremely fascinated with them and can't keep them out of her mouth. They especially taste good when they are covered in soap.
#10
Last but not least was spending time with my bestest friends, Christine and Melissa. Although we were only down in the city for a short time they got up early and came ate breakfast with me so we could at least chat for a little bit. Love you girls!!!
And the end is finally here, anyone still reading? Here's too doing better at posting in 2009!!! Happy New Year everyone!
